  42. Just a few thoughts on the topic.  As previously posted, the ALT-drag is the
  43. only way to now change shadow text, but if you have previously changed
  44. settings via scheme palette or color palette they will not change when you
  45. ALT-drag (though this seems silly given what ALT-drag is suppose to do).

  47. Another consideration from the redbooks is that IBM suggests not using
  48. to many shadows for a couple of reasons 1) when you change things on the
  49. shadows settings, they are reflected in the original (which may or may
  50. not be good depending on your opinion) and 2) shadows clutter up the
  51. os2.ini and os2sys.ini files more than copies do.  I've forgotten the
  52. exact wording and clutter may not be appropriate, but with all the
  53. extended attributes, linking, etc. IBM feels that copies will perform
  54. better and are a better solution.  And since your only copying the 
  55. program object, memory usage is not really a problem.  I wouldn't think
  56. there would be much difference between a shadow and a copy in that instance.
