- Tom:
-
- I saw the first and second issues and have to agree. It is for the very
- simple beginner, of which there are many in this world.
-
- You'll notice that Inside OS/2 has a card in the OS/2 package.
- OS/2 Monthly Magazine doesn't have such a card. Ever wonder why? Consider
- for a moment that OS/2 Monthly Magazine started coming out in January (Inside
- OS/2 not till July), OS/2 Monthly Magazine is 56 to 64 pages long (Inside OS/2
- is only 12 pages), OS/2 Monthly Magazine is $39/year (US) (Inside OS/2 has
- a normal subscription rate of $49 and a cover price of $72/year), and finally
- OS/2 Monthly Magazine contains meaty articles (Inside OS/2 is meaty for the
- very beginner, IMHO).
-
- IMHO, both publications cover important market segments. Again my question
- is why doesn't IBM provide information about OS/2 Monthly Magazine to its
- OS/2 buyers? Having a magazine (not a newsletter!) is a sign of a healthy
- OS/2, which will influence buyers to believe in the staying power of OS/2.
