- I just installed OS/2 2.0, and I need some tips on what Shareware/Freeware
- to get that will help me out.
-
- What I plan on doing is Programming, Games, sound card applications, word
- processing, in that order.
-
- Another thing, I need some hints that will speed up OS/2 (yes I already have
- the faq). God knows I need it: 386/25 with 4MB RAM, os/2 installed on
- 45 MB partition, plain VGA, 16k ram cache. Hopefully, I'll be buying a
- 486/33 or 50 soon, but for now, such info would be helpful.
-
- One more thing. When I'm running Telix on full screen Dos, and connected
- to a U. of Mich host at 19200 bps, it displays about a dozen characters,
- pauses for a second or two, then displays another dozen, and so on. Things
- speed up if I press a key. I find this really annoying, so what Dos settings
- do I need to mess with? I tried a few video settings but they didn't seem
- to help.
-
- Thanks.
