  24. I have a 486 with the Trident 8900c (1Mb), and I have installed _ALL_
  25. the trident drivers (and the standard windows vga drivers) at one time
  26. or another while benchmarking my system, and I have _NEVER_ had any
  27. problems :-). My monitor is an AOC 14" interlaced type. I currently
  28. have installed a beta version of the trident 800x600x256 driver (I only
  29. put it on two nights ago, so it is early days - but it seems fine).
  30. I think that the 800x600x256 driver is the best compromise for my
  31. system, as 1024x768x256 is too small to use for any length of time,
  32. especially on my monitor. (I like 256 colour bitmaps for windows
  33. wallpaper!)
