- Hello everybody,
- I have a question concerning the single user version
- of Gupta SQLBase. For some reason it is impossible to
- have two programs access (that is, be connected to)
- the database at the same time. However, it is no
- problem to have multiple cursors open at once as long
- as this happens within the same application. Now my
- questions:
- Why is this so?
- Does this limit refer to one instance using the database
- at a time (instance being anything that has its own
- instance handle)? Would it be possible to fake this
- one-program restriction by means of a DLL as intermediate
- layer between the database and multiple application
- programs.
- The sqlcnc command does not have hInstance as a
- parameter though. How does the database tell where
- the connect command comes from?
- Any help would be greatly appreciated, by mail
- or by posting to this newsgroup.
- Thanks.
