- To make the BC++ IDE come up with a given project file: just
- associate .PRJ files with BCW.EXE. Then you can launch .PRJ
- files from File Manager, or even set them up as icons in Program
- Manager (the quick way is to drag a .PRJ file from File Mgr to
- Program Mgr).
-
- Two ways to make the association: in File Manager's File|Associate
- dialog, just specify BCW.EXE as the app for PRJ files. This the
- direct method. Before you close the dialog, look at that listbox
- with all the file types listed in it. Wouldn't you love to have
- BCW files in that list? Just launch REGEDIT.EXE from the Windows
- directory. Select Edit | Add File Type and fill in the dialog.
- This lets you put extra parameters on the command line, which you
- can't do with File | Associate anymore.
-
- Once you set up the type, you can declare PRJ files to be of that
- type in File | Associate in File Manger.
