  11. I have a very simple question (the answer to which I have been
  12. unable to find in my very badly organized manuals).

  14. I want, at the start of an app, to be able to determine the
  15. video mode in which windows is running.  Specifically I 
  16. want to know if it is a 16 or 256 (or 32K) color mode so
  17. that I can use one of several bitmaps for the intro screen.

  19. I have been unable to find the proper call, and I'm sure someone
  20. out there can answer this very simply.
