- In fact another netter even emailed me psp101.zip. Thank you all for the
- help. Later I found the program pspro101.zip in pub/msdos/windows3 from
- rigel.oakland.edu (yet another netter kindly recommended this site, thank
- you too).
-
- However, I could love pspro only if I had tons of system
- memory ... this program is a memory hog! (sorry, Denise) With 2Mb RAM,
- all memory-resident programs disabled, and all the other windows
- applications (groups) closed, I could still barely run pspro: yes, some small
- gif/bmp/etc files were displayed but I could not do anything beyond
- that (e.g. mirror, rotate, etc). Whenever I tried to do
- mirror/rotate/etc, I got the message "system memory is not enough" (it
- did tell me how mcuh more memory I need, which is a nice feature).
- Futhermore, once when I tried to display a ~600K gif file, I was
- out of memory ... this program asked for 700K+ system memory!
- (at least I can use WinGIF to view this ~600K gif file!)
- I am not sure whether pspro uses expanded memory or extended memory,
- or whether I need to convert extended memory to expanded memory.
- Please help me on this memory issue.
