- My copy of AmiPro 3.0 arrived late last week, and while I'm
- generally pleased with some of the improvements that Lotus has
- made to the product, I've got some questions that neither the
- program nor the documentation seem to address. Can anyone in
- netland provide some information with the following items?
-
- 1. I would like to make, edit, and update endnotes in a separate
- document, rather than in the same document as the main text.
- While AmiPro does have the convenience of automatic updating and
- renumbering, this convenience is offset by the relative
- inaccessibility of the endnotes (especially, the entire set of of
- endnotes). How can I retain the automatic feature and have the
- convenience of working with two documents?
-
- 2. I would like to do quick importing of unformatted text files
- (7-bit ascii). How can I do this? Is there a way for the
- program to recognize the type of file by its suffix?
-
- 3. Does anyone have any experience with the Lotus bulletin
- board? If so, I would really appreicate your providing any
- information about its contents, so that I can determine whether I
- should spend the money to access it.
-
- 4. The manual's discussion of power fields is cryptic, to say
- the least, and I just can't make heads or tails of it.
- Consequently, I may be missing out on one of the program's
- outstanding features. Can you point me to any other
- documentation on the subject?
-
- Thanks for your assistance.
