  27. Most of the Borland Language products have new versions:
  28. Turbo Pascal/Windows 1.5, Turbo C++/DOS 3.1, Turbo C++/Windwos 3.1,
  29. Borland C++ 3.1

  31. The new Turbo and Borland products have color-syntax highlighting, several
  32. bug-fixes in the IDE, and (for those versions which come with Turbo Vision)
  33. bug fixes to TV.  The Windows products also have support for the Windows
  34. 3.1 "goodies" such as OLE, PenWindows, Drag-and-Drop.  Borland C++ also
  35. now includes a Windows-hosted optimizing compiler which replaces the Turbo C++
  36. one they used in previous versions.  All of their upgrades have been out
  37. for several months.
  38. At the Borland Presentation in Boston, they introduced Borland C++ & AF on
  39. CD-ROM, which supposedly has the entire compiler pre-installed on the disk.
  40. Can anyone hazard a guess as to how slow this might be ?  I'm wondering whether
  41. the savings in disk space are worth the hit in performance.
