- I have a friend who is trying to run an electron lens ray tracing
- programe. The program supports the following drivers for the screen
- IBMEGA.SYS
- IBMVGA12.SYS
- IBMAFH.SYS - this is some 8514/A driver
-
- She has recently upgraded her system with a new monitor and paradise
- based card. The programme will only display graphical output when the
- old IBMEGA.SYS driver is installed. The monitor is capable of 1024 by 712
- resolution (interlaced) or 800 by 600 noninterlaced. The card itself only
- goes to 800 by 600 in 16 colours. But she uses this resolution for running
- windows.
-
- I am not very familar with using device drivers. Is there someway I could
- either fool the programme into thinking that the windows device driver was
- one of the ones above. By renaming the file. Or do you know where I might
- get the real drivers by anonymous ftp.
-
- Many Thanks Bruce C C Cowie
