  13.  I have a 486-33Mhz machine, with 4 megs of memory and a hard drive.
  14.  It is running a version of MSDOS 5.0 which the manufacturer distributes
  15.  under the license from Microsoft. I am having the following problem
  16.  installing SMARTDRV.SYS:

  18.   I have included the command "devicehigh=c:\dos\smartdrv.sys 2048 512"
  19.   to install SMARTDRV.SYS utility in my config.sys file. However, the 
  20.   message I get is:

  22.       "Incompatible disk partition detected"
  23.  
  24.   This is strange because I partitioned my hard drive using the FDISK
  25.   utility which comes with DOS 5.0. I am able to install SMARTDRV.SYS
  26.   using '/p' switch, however, with that I get the message " Disk partition
  27.   not checked; data corruption may result", which I find scary. Did anyone
  28.   have similar problems? Is there any way to take care of it?
