Yes, I had a similar problem when I selected a wrong VGA driver in the
setup/display/textmode menu. I tried to setup WP to show 44 lines
and somehow I couldn't see the bottom menu line. After I changed the type
of the VGA driver it worked (I have a stupid Olivetti with a motherboard
VGA controller).
