- I'm not sure this isn't a dumb question, but how does Memory Protection
- work?

- I hear it mentioned often with regards to both hardware and operating
- systems. The operating systems books I've looked in (for example Dietel)
- don't make any explicit mention of Memory protection. They talk a great
- deal about Virtual Memory, which I imagine is closely related. They also
- make some mention of separate processes having separate address spaces,
- but they don't explain the mechanism.
