- If there are no mouse events pending, the mouse port gives a 'try again'
- error (I think, it's been a while. But it returns some appropriate
- error) which cat chokes on. My guess is that at 10MHz, the mouse generates
- interrupts as fast as the CPU can take them (or rather, the CPU can't get
- too far ahead).

- At one time, the mouse driver did that. But, now it only gives X data
- when it is there. Big difference in perfoamance, you might say.

- I don't know why the mouse test program works that way. I haven't really
- looked at it in a while. But X works, at least for me, as well as
- (better, IMHO, because I like high mouse-interrupt rates) a serial
- mouse.
