  13.     Is anyone else having a problem with the DOS filesystem deleting files
  14. out of the blue?

  16.     I've been backing up my system by creating a compressed tar file and
  17. copying it over to my DOS partition (32 megs) and then copying that file over
  18. to a file server.

  20.     Well, more than once, when I have used that file to restore files using
  21. a normal "zcat" command, the file disappears, just as if it was deleted.
  22. CHKDSK shows no problems with the DOS partition.

  24.     The only other thing I can think of it some bug with compress that makes
  25. it delete files after uncompressing them no matter what command you're running.
  26. But I seriously doubt this is the case.
