  11. I'm new to LINUX, in fact so new that I never saw it running on my own
  12. IBM/PS2...

  14. The problem is that my system does not boot from the LUNIX boot
  15. floppy.  Perhaps there is somebody out there that can shed some light
  16. on this.

  18. My configuration is as follows:
  19.     An IBM/PS2 model 80 with:
  20.         2   IDE harddisks (110 and 70 MByte)
  21.         1   3.5" floppy
  22.         1   serial Microsoft mouse connected to mouse port
  23.         1   serial port card (MCA, 2 extra ports)
  24.         1   memory card with 6 MByte of memory
  25.         1    VGA monitor
  26. I use the LINUX 0.97 boot floppy(boot floppy + floppy with root
  27. filesystem, although the system has not asked me yet to insert that
  28. one).
  29. The two floppies have been tested on a standard IBM/PS2 model 70 with
  30. one harddisk.
  31. What I get on the screen is as follows (my actions prefixed with

  35. Press <RETURN> to see SVGA modes available or any key to continue
