  13. Hello all,

  15. Just a quick question regarding MGR.  I grabbed the version off tsx-11, and
  16. installed it.  Used all the suggested settings (640x480, /dev/mouse, etc).
  17. I started it up (forgot to sync first, big mistake!), the graphics screen
  18. came up (geez, it's fast on my 486/33!).  Got the checkerboard background,
  19. and then my machine hung.  No mouse movement, no console switching, nothing.
  20. In the README, it says that it only supports Mickeysoft mouses.  I have
  21. an ATI VGAWonder card with bus mouse.  The .97 kernel does recognize it, but
  22. I may have the wrong major/minor numbers for my mouse (by memory, I think that
  23. I used 10 and 0).  Anyone have any hints for me?

  25. Since X doesn't support my card (yet), I want to use something!  8-)

  27. BTW, for any X developers working on the ATI card support, I have on another
  28. account, a file which has the patches for X386 for the ATI VGAWonder card.
  29. I forget which major board revision it was for, but it shouldn't take too much
  30. to modify it (to a V5, which I have ;-)  If anyone wants this, drop me a line
  31. and I'll send a copy to you.  Note: I didn't write this (sorry, can't remember
  32. who sent it to me either).
