- Hello all,
-
- Just a quick question regarding MGR. I grabbed the version off tsx-11, and
- installed it. Used all the suggested settings (640x480, /dev/mouse, etc).
- I started it up (forgot to sync first, big mistake!), the graphics screen
- came up (geez, it's fast on my 486/33!). Got the checkerboard background,
- and then my machine hung. No mouse movement, no console switching, nothing.
- In the README, it says that it only supports Mickeysoft mouses. I have
- an ATI VGAWonder card with bus mouse. The .97 kernel does recognize it, but
- I may have the wrong major/minor numbers for my mouse (by memory, I think that
- I used 10 and 0). Anyone have any hints for me?
-
- Since X doesn't support my card (yet), I want to use something! 8-)
-
- BTW, for any X developers working on the ATI card support, I have on another
- account, a file which has the patches for X386 for the ATI VGAWonder card.
- I forget which major board revision it was for, but it shouldn't take too much
- to modify it (to a V5, which I have ;-) If anyone wants this, drop me a line
- and I'll send a copy to you. Note: I didn't write this (sorry, can't remember
- who sent it to me either).
-
- Thanks in advance,
-
