  11. A new alpha test version of LILO can be found on reggae.oit.unc.edu in
  12. pub/pc-stuff/Linux/Incoming as lilo.s.4.tar.Z and lilo.b.4.tar.Z

  14. lilo.s contains source, documentation and support files.
  15. lilo.b contains pre-compiled binaries without source, documentation
  16. and support files. /lib/libc.2.2.2 is needed to run the pre-compiled
  17. executable of the map installer.

  21. This release contains many minor improvements. The most important ones
  22. are a configurable boot delay, a tool to determine SCSI disk parameters
  23. and some protection against weird include file conflicts.

  27. A few people have reported problems when trying to boot other operating
  28. systems (usually MS-DOS) with LILO, while others report that everything
  29. works. I haven't solved the problem yet, but I'd suggest to use BOOTACTV
  30. (or any other boot switcher) as a temporary work-around, where needed.
