  13. I don't wanna whine but I can't compile anything under 2.2.2b and
  14. expect it to run unless I link it as -static.  I am led to beleive
  15. that this is a fault with my AMI bios.  Symptoms are "Out of Virtual
  16. Memory in new()" message on execution of the code (which is, I presume
  17. a shell interpretation of an exit code?).

  19. I have heard that a new version gcc2.2.2d will fix this, and am 
  20. wondering whether/when this fix will be released.
