- And now a report on keyboards and Coherent 4.0.1:
-
- I have a Keytronics brand keyboard (~US$50) with a complete 101 key
- standard layout with three lock status LEDs on top. It has height
- adjusters and some hidden DIP switches for various compatibility
- modes.
-
- Although not quite as solid as the ZDS keyboard I use at work, it is
- light and very quiet. (I don't want any extra noise when I'm using
- the computer in a chess tournament.)
-
- The model works perfectly with Coherent 4.0 and virtual consoles. So,
- if you're having difficulties with a non-standard keyboard, you might
- want to get a Keyronics for your system.
-
- On another note:
-
- Although I have reported on a number of problems, some still
- unresolved, with Coherent 4.0.1, I am please to note that there have
- been no system panics at all. The only time I was ever forced to hit
- the reset button was when the keyboard was locked due to a terminal
- I/O experimentation session gone sour.
