  11. If you're like me, you get a large amount of junk mail.  A lot of it on
  12. a given day might come from DECUS..  I often get 3-4 pieces of decus
  13. mail at a time, and I've learned to pretty much throw most of it out
  14. unread because it's of absolutely no use.. (I can just hear the budget
  15. people back in the office cringe now.)

  17. DON'T DO THIS if you intend to go to the symposium.. The new
  18. "streamlined" registration package arrives in a small white 4x11
  19. envelope, and contains a color brochure with real small type.  As part
  20. of the new DECUS this brochure contains about, well, absolutely no
  21. information content.. At least, nothing beyond a lot of really obnoxious
  22. marketing hype, the price list, and the hotel list.  No list of
  23. sessions, no sag, nada.

  25. Gee, maybe if they're not going to be producing any of this info
  26. anymore, they can move some of the deadlines down, so that speakers for
  27. next may won't have to commit to giving a session before they leave Las
  28. Vegas in december.

  30. Registration fees are up to a ludicrous $550.00...
