- An artistic cover is not necessarily a complete waste. If you are looking
- through a stack of magazines for the one which contains a given article, and
- if you don't remember which month it was printed in, having a picture that
- reminds one of the article can help you spot it immediately; if you're not
- looking for the "cover" article, then if you look for that particular article
- often enough, you might still associate the picture with the article.
- (Think of them as icons for your desktop... :-)

- adding them to my already bulging collection of periodicals...
