- |in "Alice in wonderland" by Lewis Carrol.

- If memory serves me correctly, a speech along similar to the above
- was uttered by the White Knight. Which would place it in "Alice
- Through the Looking-Glass" (also by Lewis Carroll = Charles
- Dodgson, of course).
