  34. I purchased the MediaVision MM Upgrade Kit.  It does come with an NEC 83J. I
  35. called NEC tech support and asked them the differences between an 83J, 83M
  36. and 84.  NEC tech support told me an 83J and 83M are IDENTICAL except for
  37. the model number, 83J is used for OEM drives.  The 84 adds an external dust
  38. door to help prevent dust from entering the drive.  Other than the dust door
  39. all three drives have IDENTICAL capabilities and performance.  Note, this 
  40. data is from NEC tech support (the manufacturer).

  42. If it matters, I'm extremely pleased with my purchase.
