  11. With regards to this thread, I, too, would like to add my vote of
  12. superlative gratitude to the Perl Greats: Larry, Tom, Randal, 
  13. and many others (including Perl's maternal uncle :) and Raymond)
  14. who've helped me in some way or other.

  16. I picked up Perl in May this year following the suggestion of a
  17. colleague, and I've been hooked to it ever since.  Although still a
  18. relative neophyte in Perl, my progress is speedier with this
  19. newsgroup.  The contributions to this group make me feel that Perl
  20. users are like a close-knit family, complete with uncles,
  21. grandfathers and many children :).  I like it.  Although some of my
  22. questions don't get answered at all, I assure myself that the Perl
  23. Greats are hinting to me that "that's a stupid question, go RTFM or
  24. get a clue from other postings/followups.." :)

  26. I hope someday, I'll be able to answer questions in the newsgroup
  27. rather than always asking them.
