  14. series as objects is the work done at MIT by Gary Kopec
  15. and several other people. His thesis is:

  18. Systems in Programs" May 1980.

  20. There has been a lot of follow up work since by
  21. Brad Meyers and several other people. We have been 
  22. using this work extensively in a commercial product
  23. for several years, and have found it a powerful way
  24. to treat data.
