  32.     This is correct - messages posted to comp.lang.lisp.mcl
  33.     are not posted to the info-mcl mailing list (although
  34.     info-mcl messages are posted to the newsgroup).

  36.     I am not aware of any system which would permit doing this
  37.     without creating the kinds of infinite loops (and duplicate
  38.     messages) we saw just recently on this list. If you have
  39.     a dependable solution in mind, feel free to let us know.

  41. We don't have access to usenet right now, but I remember vaguely from
  42. ancient days ;-( that newsgroups which are marked as "moderated" get all
  43. responses mailed to the "moderators" address - the moderator is then
  44. responsable for feeding them back into usenet via some news agent like
  45. inews or whatever. So if the moderator's task is just to combine usenet
  46. responses and the mailing list and not to review the responses, this
  47. could be automated without looping or duplicating messages - or I missed
  48. something.
