  17. I'm sure a lot of Forth'ers read your message.  If you haven't had any
  18. response, it might be an indication of one of the problems of Forth: everyone
  19. agrees that a library of portable words would be a great idea, but for some
  20. reason, no such library is forthcoming.  :)

  22. Maybe the ANSI standard will be the catalyst that starts the creation of such a
  23. library.  If it did that and nothing else, it would have been worth the effort.
