  27. I think the above shows who is out of touch with what.  The world is  
  28. really like what most people experience...working for a boss.

  30. Our economy depends on both workers and execs.  I think the economy would  
  31. gain more if the execs could see through the workers eyes than vice versa.
  32. Try not to forget who makes the decisions and has the (concentrated)  
  33. power.  Unions are an attempt to level what is by definition an unlevel  
  34. playing field.

  39. |agreement. I have seen what is going on along our borders, the jobs they
  40. |think we will lose to folks to the south, are already lost, right here in 
  41. |the states.  For those of you who live along the southern border, look at
  42. |your service industry, landscapers, housekeepers, custodians, etc. are 
  43. |predominately hispanic, most legal, some not.  The only way to solve the
  44. |jobs problem is to make the border areas (both US-Canada and US-Mexico)

  46. |prosperous as we (US) are.  Only then will the "cheap labor" problem  
  47. stop.

  50. Its the border areas between rich and poor _within_ the US that needs to  
  51. attended to first...and its the Bush who lacks "the vision thing"...but  
  52. here there is no lack of vision on either side of this issue.  Unions  
  53. rightly see this as an attempt by those at the top to increase their slice  
  54. of the pie by cutting the workers slice thinner.  And Bush sees it the  
  55. same way.  There is a lack of _candor_, of course, on the Bush side.

  57. The last 12 years of Reagan/Bush are either a successful attempt to  
  58. increase the gap between the rich and the working class, or an  
  59. unsuccessful attempt to do something else.  Either way, its time for a  
  60. change.
