  13. The psychology of color perception is much more complicated than the response
  14. of the four kinds of retina cells.  The late Edwin Land of Polaroid was
  15. fond of showing images composed of two color primaries that appeared to have
  16. all the colors in it.  I assume every has seen the optical illusions where
  17. moving B&W objects appear to have color.
  18. I recall an articlein Scientific American on the psychology of color perception
  19. within the last two years, but I don't have the reference at hand.
