  10. I've indulged in some SIGGRAPH kvetching myself, so I can agree with
  11. some of Rick Speer's comments about things like the terrible electronic
  12. message system.  But...

  18. This comment is completely inaccurate.  The question had nothing to do
  19. with why a paper was accepted.  Someone simply asked how the work
  20. differed from some previous work.  The question was addressed to the
  21. authors of the paper, not to Pat.  My impression was that things were
  22. behind schedule and Pat just cut the question period short.  Questions
  23. were skipped or cut short all thru the conference this year, and I have
  24. heard that this was partly due to unusual pressure from the A/V
  25. people.  But I'll let someone else tell the Chicago-union stories...
