- I am attempting to port POV 1.0 to a Number-Smasher 860 board running in
- a 486, using NDP C/C++ 860. The program seems to run fine (minus the screen
- display while tracing for now), but the output files are always messed up.
- Most of the time an image will look okay at the top of the screen, but then
- bands of different colors will appear, as if the color bytes were reversed.
- Also, some images are skewed to the right.
-
- Does this sound like a compiler problem, or a communications problem somewhere
- between the i860 and the hard drive? I tried re-compiling without any
- optimizations, but it didn't help.
-
- Anyway, I would appreciate any help from somebody who has tried this, or
- from anyone with experience with i860s in DOS machines.
