- Hi,
-
- I'm looking for IBM PC compatible computer with Unix.
- Unix will be free Linux first, but if it fails I have to check
- BSD386 or a commercial Unix.
-
- I'm interested in to know how much a compile time and run time memory,
- both the RAM+virtual memory and the disk space, various programs
- takes.
-
- I have planned to use at least 50 Mbytes for the swap file.
- But 100 Mbytes is maximum -- I need disk space for the programs too :-)
-
-
- Somebody wrote about Rayshade that it used for certain scene 70 Mbytes
- run time virtual memory. How complex scene that was?
-
- What about programs/scenes which with images (choose most complex
- images) in SIGGRAPH conference proceedings are made?
-
- How much X-window system takes?
-
- How much Khoros takes?
-
