  16. I use both epoch and emacs in an x-windows environment. 
  17. I would like to be able to display accented characters from the
  18. ISO-latin character set.  I recently obtained by ftp a package
  19. called

  23. When I am in latin1-mode, I can display the accented characters
  24. as control sequences, but I am unable to have the control sequences
  25. displayed as accented characters.

  27. In my .Xresources file, I set the epoch and emacs fonts to be

  29. -misc-fixed-medium-r-normal--13-120-75-75-c-80-iso8859-1

  31. (I assumed this was would work because of the "iso8859."  I guess that
  32. shows how much of a neophite I still am.)

  34. What more must I do to have accents?
