  13. I am using GNU Emacs on a Sun 4.1.2.  At one time, I was able to use 
  14. CTRL-@ to set a mark.  However, after toying a little with the .emacs
  15. file, I have not been able to use CTRL-@ to set a mark.  Even deleting
  16. the .emacs file has not helped.  All assistance will be deeply 
  17. appreciated.
