- I had posted a query on using emacs to edit files which are write-able
- only by root (I am the sysadm.) A number of folks pointed me to a
- package called ange-ftp. This looks like a neat package, but it uses
- ftp to access files. We don't allow root logins over the network or
- via ftp, so this doesn't work for me, even for files on the same host.
- Oh well, thanks anyway! Currently I am either starting a terminal
- inside of emacs or using another window when I am at an X-station.
- thanks, Betsy
