  10. Greetings everyone,

  12. I'm exploring a new career in software configuration and would
  13. like to "talk" to people already in this field. So far I
  14. understand software configuration is similar to hardware
  15. configuration. Essentially it is breaking down a large
  16. amount of information into subgroups of info that are
  17. easy to revise, track, and build from.

  19. Does anyone have a job like this?
  20. What kind of background would this require?

  22. Is a degree in CS necessary?

  24. What would be the salary range of this position? I work in
  25. San Francisco, CA.
