- HOFSTETTER'S algorithm is similar to the Parks-McClellan algorithm in
- that it enables the design of equi-ripple FIR filters. The difference
- is that for Hofstetter's algorithm stop band attenuation is specified
- rather than transition region width ans for the Parks-McClellan
- algorithm.
