  11. HOFSTETTER'S algorithm is similar to the Parks-McClellan algorithm in
  12. that it enables the design of equi-ripple FIR filters. The difference 
  13. is that for Hofstetter's algorithm stop band attenuation is specified
  14. rather than transition region width ans for the Parks-McClellan 
  15. algorithm.
