  25. I have been working at improving on a system to track a signal that
  26. contains noise.  The work that we have started with is:
  27.  
  28. Selfperturbing Recursive Least Squares Algorithm with Fast Tracking
  29. Capability, by D.J. Park and B.E. Jun, in ELECTRONICS LETTERS,
  30. 12th March 1992, Vol. 28 No. 6.

  32. The idea is to estimate the input signal using a 10 term filter.
  33. The system does not seem to react well to larger noise levels and
  34. we are working on improving it in this area.

  36. I don't think that this would help to seperate voice and music, but
  37. we hope it will remove background and machine noise of any gain 
  38. from the voice/music signals.

  40. The above reference is a good starting point.  I do not know what
  41. we are going to do with our findings yet but the summer job ends
  42. Sept. 1st.
