  15. While they should have left the 'encryption' word out, it is true that
  16. spread spectrum [was|is] used by the military because it is inherently
  17. more secure than plain old carrier-based transmissions.  Also, maybe
  18. they actually are putting some sort of encryption chip in it so that
  19. it would be difficult to descramble without knowing the setting on a
  20. DIP switch or something.
