  11. I'm running OS/2 2.0 and multitask while downloading files.  Because
  12. I only have standard 16450 serial ports, I get a lot of errors while
  13. transferring files using a v.32bis external modem.  It seems that
  14. getting a serial card with a 16550 built into it is the solution.
  15. Many people here have talked about removing the old chip and replacing
  16. it with at 16550A/AFN/etc.  My problem is that my serial card does
  17. not allow for replacement chips, besides soldering them into it.
  18. I've therefore been looking for a place where I can buy another
  19. serial i/o card with a build in 16550.  I've looked through lots of
  20. advertisements but have yet to find any place selling these
  21. cards.  I'd really appreciate any experience/help anyone has to
  22. offer in my quest for the buffered serial card.  Thanks.
