  30. Now I have a BIG problem ...
  31. The V5.00 roms have been distributed here in Germany as an *official*
  32. version, obviously some misunderstanding between ZyXEL and the german
  33. distributors.
  34. A lot of people already are using this version and there is general
  35. excitement about the quality of this update! All bugs of previous
  36. versions (that I'm aware of) have been fixed, 16.800 bps transmission
  37. works flawlessly, and the voice mail capabilities are fantastic.
  38. V 5.00 definitely is the best piece of "beta code" ZyXEL ever sent out
  39. to the world... :-)
  40. In fact, it out performes *all* of the previous production releases by
  41. far.
  42. Now, if this is just beta, what am I supposed to do with my new eproms :-) ?
  43. Change back to V 4.09, which was installed before the upgrade? Nah, you
  44. can't be serious...

  46. My congratulations again to the ZyXEL engineers for producing this
  47. fantastic release - what other modems are supported in such a way?
  48. I started with buying a modem with V.32bis and FAX - now I have a
  49. modem with additionally 16800 bps, voice mail, a lot of new features... 
  50. just for the cost of two new eproms (about 15$)!
