  10. Hello.  I have read on this echo that USR, ZyXEL, and Hayes all have stated
  11. that they have modems that will be upgradeable to V.fast.

  13. USR - Current "v.small" Courier v32bis and DS modems

  15. ZyXEL - soon to be released E+ modem

  20. Which Hayes modems will be upgradeable to v.fast?  The new Optima 14.4k

  22. Also, has Hayes stated what kind of upgrade it will be?

  24. USR has said it will be a hardware upgrade that can be done at home and
  25. will retail for $299.
  26. ZyXEL has stated that it will be a ROM upgrade.  Current ROM upgrades
  27. are less than $50.
