- Does anybody know anything about the "ATI 9600 ETC/E" modem?
-
- An associate of mine works with a government organization that
- apparantly has these puppies set up as answering modems on their
- Novell network using the "On-Lan" software package. He says that
- another ATI 9600 ETC/E modem is able to connect to them successfully
- at 9600BPS, but he can't seem to get his V.32bis-compliant modem (an
- AT&T Comsphere 3810) to connect at all.
-
- Of course, he doesn't have access to a manual, and he can't send me
- an ATI modem to look at (I'm 100 miles away from his site).
-
- Are these in fact V.32-compliant modems, or do they use some sort
- of proprietary protocol? Do they feature any sort of error-correction
- and compression protocols?
