- I have used several of these modems. It helps if yu use CTS/RTS flow control.
- It also helps if you simply use AT&F to load the factory defaults, then do a
- AT\N3. This puts the modem into Auto-reliable mode. You will have to set your
- comms speed to 9600 - to cope with the compressed data acheived through
- V42vis.

- If you have the setting at 2400 in - for example - Telix or Telemate, then
- you will ONLY get 2400.

- I set the COM port speed to 2400 but the comms program speed to 9600. This
- works just fine.

- Playing with v42bis can be a bit like trying to find your socks in the
- dark........the CALPAK manual is pretty good - compared to the non-manual
- shipped with the Zoltrix! - but the Supra V32bis FAXmodem manual is even
- better!
