- I have two modems Multi-Tech V.32, 2400 (Acess) and a 1200.
- I move from one part of Lisbon to other and what happen is:
- I work with this modems and other in all Lisbon, Madeira
- Island and no problem. In this part of Lisbon if I connect the
- Multi-Tech with the green and red wires in a way i can connect to some
- bbs in here or England, Germany and ... but others not (I must dial
- with a phone that is in the Phone Jack because since the system is
- pulse i can't do ATD<Phone number> the phone company don't get the
- change for the dial). If I dial other when the modem is making the
- handshake (for speed and other stuff) they make strange noise and no
- connection. But if I change the wires that go to the Phone company
- (RED and GREEN) I can dial ( ATD<phone number>) and make the
- connection to bbs (1200, 2400, 9600 MNP5 or V. 42) but not to the
- ones I make in the previews setup.
- The others modems work but not very well too (but make the connection)
- Any sugestion? Thanks in advance.
- Sincerely
- Rui Bento
