- I have not seen any program/modem that can detect the call-waiting
- tone and notify you *BUT* there is generally a code to disable the
- call-waiting feature.

- Here in Texas we use *70 then dial the your number. Call-waiting will
- remain disabled untill you hang-up. Call your local CO to find out if
- you need a different code.
