- My computer has two 82510 UARTs soldered in its serial ports.
- After reading the docs to the Fossil Driver X00V124.ZIP, I
- realized that the 82510 UART has a 4 byte FIFO buffer, similar
- to the 16550A UART's 16 byte FIFO buffer.
-
- Using a SupraFaxModem v.32bis, I normally have no problems when
- my serial port is set to 19200, but when I try higher speeds like
- 38400 and 57600, I get character loss from the serial port.
-
- My questions are as follows:
-
- 1) Is there any terminal program out there that supports an
- 82510 UART and its FIFO buffer? Also, a list of any term programs
- that use the X00 Fossil driver would be helpful.
-
- 2) For whoever has a 16550A UART; is it possible to set your
- serial port to 38400/57600 and get no character loss?
