  14. Hi. I'm purchasing a SupraFax V.32bis modem and was told that it uses the
  15. 16650A UART. On my 386 serial card I have a 16450 that is soldered directly
  16. to the board. Would it of been possible to simply replace the chip if it was
  17. the pull-out type?
  18. Since it is not, I opted to replace the serial card. What I need are suggestions
  19. as to what brand and type I should get. (or are they all the same?)
  20. By the way, what's the big diff. between a 450 and 550A?
